No Spam Policy

Zero tolerance for spam.

Utobo Mail exists to help legitimate senders reach real inboxes. Spam hurts deliverability for everyone on the platform, so we enforce a strict, transparent anti-spam policy.

Our commitment

Every message sent through Utobo Mail — transactional, marketing, or automated — must comply with applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GASPP, CASL, GDPR, ePrivacy) and the standards described on this page. We monitor sending behavior continuously and act quickly on abuse to protect the reputation of our shared infrastructure.

What's allowed

  • Mail to recipients who explicitly opted in (signed up, purchased, or otherwise gave permission).
  • Transactional mail tied to a user action (receipts, password resets, shipping notifications, account alerts).
  • Marketing mail with a clear sender identity, accurate subject line, physical mailing address, and a one-click unsubscribe link that is honored immediately.
  • Re-engagement campaigns to your own opted-in list, provided the recipient has been contacted within the last 12 months.

What's prohibited

  • Purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party-sourced email lists of any kind.
  • Sending without verifiable opt-in consent or to addresses harvested from the public web.
  • Misleading from-names, subject lines, headers, or routing information designed to disguise the true sender.
  • Content promoting phishing, malware, fraud, illegal goods, adult content involving minors, or material that incites violence.
  • Disabling, hiding, or breaking unsubscribe links, or continuing to mail recipients who have unsubscribed.
  • Repeated sending to addresses producing hard bounces, spam complaints, or spam-trap hits.

How we enforce it

We monitor bounce rates, complaint rates, spam-trap hits, and authentication signals (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) on every account. When an account exceeds industry-safe thresholds we may throttle sending, require list cleaning, suspend the account, or terminate it without refund. Repeat or egregious violations are reported to the relevant authorities and blocklists.

If you received an unsolicited message that appears to originate from Utobo Mail infrastructure, please forward the full message — including all headers — to hello@utobo.com. We investigate every report within one business day and take action on confirmed violations.
